Kilco flies the flag at Viv Asia, Bangkok
Lockerbie based biosecurity and dairy hygiene experts, Kilco, will be flying the export flag for Britain at the Viv Asia exhibition in Bangkok, Thailand, as it works to expand the brand across the rapidly growing markets in the Far East.
One of Britain’s major export success stories, Kilco, will be attending Asia’s premier protein production and processing industry exhibition, Viv Asia, this month as part of an active strategy to build its brand in these booming emerging markets.
Careful preparation means that this major exhibition is already looking very promising for the company in terms of sales success. As well as exhibiting, the company has a series of significant meetings arranged with companies from Indonesia to Iran, Philippines to Bangladesh. Representatives from the company will also be meeting with a potential distributor from India, a substantial market where Kilco does not currently have a presence.
Kilco a global success story
Kilco has a well established worldwide distribution network, exporting to 60 countries from its manufacturing plant in Dumfries and Galloway, and it continues to grow this global network year on year.
Asia is seen as a key growth market for the company, with 15 local distributors currently representing Kilco products across the region, and two UK based companies selling Kilco under their own brand. The Asian market is predominantly biosecurity, supported by animal health products such as vitamins and amino acids.
Kilco is working hard to build its brand in Asia through international events and exhibitions, as well as actively supporting local shows and seminars. For example, Kilco provided sales training and marketing support to Bangladeshi distributor, ACE, when they launched two new products in the country last month. The Viv Asia exhibition is an important part of Kilco’s dynamic international strategy.
What is Viv Asia?
Viv Asia is the largest international show for the farming and protein production sector in Asia and forms an important gateway to the region’s emerging markets. It is held every two years and attracts 875 exhibitors and over 38,000 guests from 124 countries.
The combination of western business, along with the enthusiasm and interest shown by the evolving Asian economies, creates a unique atmosphere of opportunity for companies such as Kilco who are active in the production and processing of poultry, swine, eggs, dairy and aquaculture.
This year’s event will be held at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Center, from 15th to 17th March.
Watch out for our next press release reviewing the Viv Asia exhibition and revealing the outcome of Kilco’s exhibition activity.
