The Russians are coming!
Kilco may have grown into a global brand, but we’re still proudly Scottish at heart. And when it comes to entertaining overseas customers, we know how to show our history and heritage at its very best.
Fresh back from exploring the Asian markets at Viv Asia in Bangkok, it’s now our turn to welcome visitors from afar, we opened our doors to our top customers from across Russia. Starting at our Lockerbie headquarters, we treated them to a whistle-stop tour of the best that Scotland has to offer.
Exploring the Kilco Way
First stop was our factory in Dumfries and Galloway, where they met the Kilco team and viewed our production process in action. They also met our top scientists to see what the future holds for biosecurity and animal nutrition.
After that, the fun really starts...
A taste of Scotland
We’ll be whisking our guests off to Edinburgh to visit a racing stable, before crossing back over to Oban via the magnificent Stirling Castle. The group will also tour Inverary Castle and take in a spot of sea fishing along the way.
Plus, of course, no true tour would be complete without a visit to a distillery, and the smoky flavours of Oban will round off the weekend nicely.
With Kilco products reaching more than 60 countries around the world, visits like this play a crucial role in making new friends and building relationships with our customers far and wide, as Mart-Jan Bluemink, Business Development Manager for Europe and Russia explains:
“Trips like this build the kind of trust and understanding that you just can’t get from an email or a phonecall,” he says. “They show our customers how much they mean to us, and how hard we are working to create great products and produce new innovations that will improve their productivity and profits.
“We look forward to welcoming our Russian friends and to showing them all that Scotland has to offer.”
